Station Working Advisory Group

Amtrak, MTA, and NJ TRANSIT have begun preliminary design work to modernize and expand the capacity of Penn Station to ensure our rail network can serve our region’s mobility needs, population growth, and economic development in the decades to come. To support this effort a Station Working Advisory Group (SWAG) has been assembled. The goal for the SWAG is to have meaningful conversations in a smaller forum regarding the Railroad Partners’ vision for the future of Penn Station with a diverse group of organizations that represent different constituencies and perspectives.

The SWAG will meet regularly during the course of preliminary design and environmental review efforts, beginning in September 2024.
